Amalgam class 1 ( cavity prep )

Look at how serious my title is 😂. No no this is not the steps from A to Z. It just like I wanna share with you guys , my fav reader( s )

Last year, when I was in year 1, I actually do go to lots of clinics to leave my empty glass bottle to be filled with teeth 😛 ( for this purpose )

Eh shall I show it to you guys? Haha because my dad always turn away when I show the so-not-pretty-condition of teeth haha 🤣
( I love to tease him , every time that he got things to say or his getting nerve by me, I will always show those collections - for a beautiful escape 🤪) I’m naughty? Lol ikr 😆😆

I divided them based on their condition, and most of the sound teeth are premolar. uhuhu

Okey so started from last week, we gotta clean all the teeth, before we actually autoclave them to kill or the bacteria🤔 ( before they actually kill you first 🤭 ) hahaha


So I did woke up at 3 am and do the cleaning service of each tooth ( God knows how I hate that moment 🙄🙄🙄 )

I was so into vomiting 🤮 my content hahaha each time I brush the tooth ( I actually brushed each of the tooth okey - because I was so geli geliman nak autoclave them without a proper cleaning )

Later, I drained the dirty water, and I dried the teeth under the fan from 4.30am till 7 am. ..

Sorry that I didn’t have any photo for the cleaning and drying process, restricting myself from touching my other things , including my phone 🙂😉


Okey then, I put them back inside the glass bottle and went to class happily ( 🤔 )

We were given the autoclave set haha ( idk what to call ) it just like plastic and some cotton like ( hahha I forgot this one ☝🏼)

So just put the “cleaned” and dried teeth inside the packaging and they gotta go for autoclaving...



Okey lets skip few days. 🤗


Then we were request to look for 36 tooth ( mandibular first molar ) for our cavity preparation.

It’s so hard man to search for the SOUND one. Is there any crazy people who wanna pull out their good and caries-less tooth hahaha ?

Lol so I was in difficult condition, gotta begged from my other friends and senior, if they do have extra tooth of 36, since mine was rejected due to excessive caries and subhanallah besar gila lubang !!!

Hahaha so they’re few concern people, ( actually just a senior 😂😂 - pm if interested ) , he gave me teeth, but dr didn’t want it because it have some attrition 😣

So I just mounted my caries 36 and 46 ( last resort that I have ) hahaha

Oh I do skip some hardship because I wanna tell you guys hahaha the process was easy ( NO OKAY NO 😈😈)

Okey okey so my first trial of cavity prep.. I was so into the important step ( which is make sure to remove all the caries ) hahaha..everything was so well, but until I measured the width . God it is 2mm facepalm guys 0.5mm is matter okey ...


Hence my supervisor said, that’s why we need you to search for sound tooth 👽 . Okey my bad dr .. but she said, it’s good prep but not for this exercise ( Fuhhh, how she collected back my broken pieces 😂)


So I did proceed with new 36 tooth.. started from the scratch🙂🙂🙂


But Alhamdulillah idk what happened , it’s Allah’s miracle, I found that my second trial was so easy and smooth.

Then I went for checking and it was kinda make me feel so about to cry 😢😢😢 .. Alhamdulillah.. I got a good marks .


So this is the cavity prep guys.. the small one is the second trial 😂😂

haha intentionally put it in extra large size so that you can see. it is actually so smallll!!! 1-1.5mm

P/s: I sanitized everything at my work station ahhaha ( protecting myself from anonymous tooth🤮)

And I bought myself hand sanitizer because yes, even it kill 99% the other 1 % still can cause negative effect... but at least I’m taking my precautions and amanah to take care this body!! Everything will be questioned right? Hahaha so let’s take a good care of our own health ( and not exclude your oral hygiene!! )
